Tip 1: Check the accessibility of your venue in advance
Almost all festival venues are wheelchair accessible. Only the ReieRoute and Ferry Tales are exceptions, as these performances take place on a boat.

Tip 2: Read up ahead of time on what to expect from a performance
Proper preparation will make your festival experience more enjoyable. That’s why each performance listing includes information about the language level, the language spoken, visual elements, the option to come and go as you please, and potential triggers such as loud noises, flashes of light, or disturbing images.

Tip 3: Discover performances that are particularly well-suited for visitors with visual impairments
Let yourself be carried away by sound, stories, and imagination. Drift is a meditative listening experience on and around the water. On Sunday, September 6, at 2 p.m., visitors with visual impairments will also have the opportunity afterward to explore the instruments and shells used in the performance through touch.
Also KIOSK lets you experience Bruges in a different way. During this audio walk, you’ll discover hidden stories through voices and sounds. Since the walk may take you through some narrow passageways, we recommend bringing a companion with you.
Tip 4: Take advantage of the additional support available for the deaf and hard of hearing
During The Weight of Water on Saturday, September 5, at 4:30 p.m., the performance will be translated live by a Flemish Sign Language (VGT) interpreter. We have reserved seats with an optimal view of the interpreter and will be happy to escort visitors to their seats.
